Cat Traps Review

Wild cats, domesticated cats, cats in general can be a nuisance and when Animal Control won't solve your problem it's time you took matters into your own hands. Throughout this article I'll be reviewing various cat traps and giving you the overall details on which ones you should purchase and which ones you're better off avoiding. In the end it's up to you as to what cat trap to buy but being informed about your purchase will make it that much easier when it comes time to decide. I'll be sure to mention prices and where you can buy certain cat traps as well, thus making it all the more easier for you, the consumer. Remember though when dealing with wild animals you should ALWAYS be careful and as soon as you trap one of these felines be sure to call animal control and don't try to handle the feral cat yourself.

Woodstream Havahart Cage Trap

Places where you can find the product: Cabelas, Aubuchon Har, and Ace Hardware
About this product: It's a metal trap used to trap cats, raccoons, and various other small animals, it has a mechanical release mechanisim located on the top of the trap and this trap can easily be set with one hand. It's not a bad little trap at all and it looks to me like it will get the job done.

Woodstream Havahart Collapsible 32" Large Animal Trap

Places where this product can be found: Amazon Market, Amazon, and Ace Hardware.
Obviously from the title you already know this product is collapsible making it that much easier to set up and then take back down. You're going to be paying a little extra due to the size of this trap but overall I'd say it's worth it for those tom cats everyone has around their neighborhood. And we all know how large those tom cats can get.

Live Animal Trap

Price: $147
Places where this product can be found: Mastergardening and Deerbusters
Now, this is a much larger trap considering it comes with two doors and a door in the middle to seperate the two cages. There's two ways of getting into this cage but again there is a door seperating the two cages and once the cat enters one way there's no way of getting out. With this trap you're able to capture two cats at once and keep them seperated to avoid a fight. Sure you'll be paying a lot more but it's a lot eaiser to kill two birds with one stone rather than having to reset your trap time and time again.

Green Live Animal Pet Trap/Cage

Price: $29.99
Places where this product can be found: Discount Tommy
This is suppose to be a more humane method at trapping your neighborhood cats, I suppose. It's just like any other cat trap out there on the market today but at a lower price. It too has the double doors and it's spring loaded. Again, it's just like any other trap out there only you're getting a better deal with this one considering it works the same as the more expensive ones.

Havahart Raccoon And Cat Trap, one door

Price: $67.99
Located: Bestnest.com
Easy to set just sit back and let the critters come to you, unlike the other traps I've rated though this one only comes with the one door. Depending upon your cat population in your neighborhood or the exact need of such a trap, you're probably better off getting a one door over a two door. Again, it depends solely on the cat population/critter population of your neighborhood and the reason behind using a trap.

Overall there are hundreds upon thousands of cat traps out there and though I have reviewed a variety of cat traps for you, you're the one who will end up having to make a decision based on your personal needs. If you're dealing with more than one feline you're probably better off getting a devise with double doors, where as if you're only dealing with one feline you're much better off getting a cat trap with only one door. As you can see they can be a little pricey but if you're fed up with Animal Control doing next to nothing it's probably time to take matters into your own hands but remember when dealing with feral animals such as cats and other creatures, once you capture said animal be sure to call a professional to then come and remove the animal.

I have 2 havaheart traps and I'm using them to try and catch a mother cat and 5 kittens under a neighbor's deck. I trapped 2 kittens and a baby raccoon so far. The mother cat(who I mostly want to trap) avoids it and even though I know she's very hungry, she's also very smart and won't go near it. Any other suggestions on how to trap her? I need lots of help.

Thanks
